Everytime the oldest royal was seen out in public, a tabloid article was sure to follow. Princess Augusta was rude, simply put. She took whatever she wanted, when she wanted and didn’t care who she hurt in the process. The only soft spot she seemed to have was for her family, which is why the Princess was likely doing all of this. “Not sure if it’s really such a good afternoon, but I digress,” Princess Augusta huffed out. “My father is a big fan of beating around the bush, but I’m not. Odessa Dates is kind of a scam.” You and Liz turn to each other with wide eyes. “A scam? No way,” Liz whispered, beginning to chew on her fingernail as the two of you turn your attention back to the screen. Queen Ramona chuckles softly and wraps an arm around her child’s arm, pulling her closer to her body. “What my child means is that Odessa Dates was created with a dual purpose. While we wanted to help bring more people in Odessa together, we also wanted to find somebody for our daughter as well,” Queen Ramona said, giving a smile to her child. “Right, baby?” The Princess hesitates, apparently sensing another tone his mother’s question. “Yes. That’s right, Mother,” she answered finally. *page_break “Yes. My sister has a profile on Odessa Dates as well. Father made it,” Princess Mozelle said. She looks happy to take the attention off of her mother and older sister for a moment. “Lots of people matched with my sister, but Father was looking for only the best of the best profiles for a...competition of sorts.” The King nods to somebody off screen and soon you’re looking at some sort of promotional video advertising something called The Odessa Dating Games. “The Odessa Dating Games is a competition for the hand of my daughter. The profiles that matched the best with the Princess will be invited to Dia to participate,” King Frederick explained. “Participants will be judged on how they handle various situations that will no doubt arise as a part of royal duties.” The advertisement goes away and you’re shown the Royal Family again. The Princess straightens up her collared shirt before speaking. “The profiles have already been contacted, so don’t bother with trying to create a profile now just to match with me. There will be a more detailed press conference soon to answer more questions and to, of course, do damage control,” Princess Augusta said, unable to hold back a bit of a smirk. “Thank you so much for tuning in, my loyal citizens. Godspeed and God bless Odessa,” King Frederick says, wrapping an arm around the Queen and narrowing his eyes towards his eldest child as the feed cuts. *page_break *goto_scene chapter1_fallout
