You set the letter down in your lap and take a deep breath, glancing over at your roommate.

“Well, hell, the Games really are beginning,” $!{roommate_name} says, taking the letter from your lap and re-reading it. “I mean, we knew they were about to start but this letter really makes it real.”

You nod and stand up from the couch, suddenly feeling the need to excuse yourself.

        As you leave the room, you can hear your roommate stretching out on the couch and making ${roommate_himself_herself} comfortable.
